Volunteering for the Homeless

The Bahnhofsmission

Once or twice a year, the young adults from Berlin's Elisabethstift, along with adult members of our PPSC team spend a Saturday afternoon volunteering at Berlin's Bahnhofsmission, Berlin's soup kitchen for the homeless. Whether preparing or serving food or loading the giant dishwasher, all volunteers gain an initial impression into the life of the homeless, fostering understanding and compassion.

Frank Zander‘s annual Christmas Dinner for the Homeless and Needy

In December 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 just prior to the Christmas holiday, we have had the good fortune of being able to volunteer to serve at Frank Zander‘s annual Christmas Dinner for the Homeless and Needy. The youth from Berlin's Elisabethstift offered their time to help with the vast preparations needed to serve the 2800 guests. The young adults assisted in setting many of the over 300 tables and helped prepare hundreds of the gift bags that were distributed to the homeless at the end of the event.
